hey everyone. i told you it may be a few days before my next post, but i didnt think it would take over a week. sorry about that. i have literally been resting and sleeping the past ten days. from saturday when i got home from the wedding up to today i have slept more than i have been awake. i didnt even know i was as tired as i was until i started sleeping and couldnt stop. ive missed a lot of rehab too. i called dannette last wednesday and told her i wasnt feeling too great and didnt want to get back behind my great pft levels so i started some cipro. i felt ok thursday and friday but started feeling bad again saturday evening...that reminds me. saturday was my birthday! i turned 23, and i feel really old. haha. i never believed adults when i was little that you care less and less about your birthday the older you get, but come friday i really didnt realize it was my birthday and on saturday i kept having to remind myself it was my birthday. it actually ended up being an amazing day!...that morning i went to madison's soccer game. which is so funny to watch! i love watchin all the little 4 year olds run in a huddle chasing and kicking the ball in whatever direction they are facing, it is hilarious! and my favorite is when madison squats down to pick flowers- and proceed to hand it to coach! so anyway, after the game mom and i needed to make a trip to target. where i did something that has been very hard to get the guts up to do. i went in and shopped with my oxygen on. so incredibly hard. i just dont want people to feel sorry for me. im fine, i dont need your help, ive got it under control, dont stare, just keep walking like im just like the next girl your going to pass. but i was proud of myself for doing it. i mean, i really didn't have another option, it was either go in with the oxygen or sit in the car and wait on mom. so i went in! and i felt so much better after i did it...... natalie and andrew had been planning on coming to visit when they got back from the honeymoon, so we decided on saturday night and they would watch the auburn ut game with us. well, unbeknownst to me they had better plans for me! earlier in the day catherine had called to wish me happy birthday as she headed to the ut game, {so i was told}, and jessica called before she was leaving for work. {also, so i was told} wellll, nat and andrew get here and after about 15 minutes nat says "well are you ready for your gift?" and i said "well sure! i didnt know you got me anything!!"...she says i have to wait while they set it up. a few minutes later they call me downstairs and i see these two HUGE wrapped boxes! im thinking what on EARTH did she get me??? they lift up the boxes and OUT POPS catherine and jessica!!! i was SHOCKED i had no idea! it was a great night. they got together and got me the open hearts necklace that i have always wanted. i didnt even know they knew i wanted it. so when i opened it i almost cried! it was a great surprise. i didnt feel wonderful that evening but i tried my hardest to party with them. sunday through today hasnt been good. janie came by today and gave me the most precious necklace that i didnt even knew existed. i saw one a few months ago with the words "faith" i think on it. i wanted one that said "breathe" but figured it didnt exist. well, janie never lets me down and she found one that you can inscribe what you want on it and had breathe done! i love it! i i haven't made it to rehab once. but tonight i felt good enough to go to church so that was good. i called danette again monday and told her i was no better and i felt i was getting worse and i wanted to start ivs. i started them monday evening. im hoping these next few days get better and better. we will see.
until then,
leigh allyn
