this Thanksgiving...

i have so much to be thankful for this holiday season...

ya know, i was so excited for this holiday season to begin. i believe i started thinking about decorating the christmas tree, holiday music, lights, making christmas presents, decorating, making yummy desserts, OHH alll of it- at the beginning of october. i don't even think Hobby Lobby had there holiday decor out yet, when i started anticipating it. i used to get so annoyed when stores and people were rushing the holiday season, but this year i was just about one of them. granted, i havent decorated yet, but i sure am ready to! so now that it is here, i am just thrilled!!!

thanksgiving is probably my favorite. i love eating all of that yummy food, and then vegging out on the sofa with all the family there laughing, playing games, watching football, and just having the best time...and getting ready to be back together soon for christmas! friday is always the best part-eating leftovers and decorating!

i am in awe at what God has blessed me with. sometimes i wonder what i have done to deserve such amazing things. from my amazing family and friends. to my church family. from parents who sacrifice the world to make sure i have what i need or want. to my friends who are always there for me. from a top notch hospital with the best of the best doctors there to take care of me. to my faithful blog readers, and more, who pray for me daily. this thanksgiving it seems a little different than normal. little more special...im trying to soak things in a little bit deeper even than in the past. every time i stepped outside i took an extra look at the changing leaves. or the smell of cold nights- i would breathe in a little deeper. i want to feel the warm sunshine on my face a little bit longer. i dont want to miss a thing about this holiday season! and i want to thank God, not just on Thanksgiving, but every day for all of the amazing things he has blessed me with. his blessings seem to rain down on me. they are new every morning. they are never ending. and i count them one by one.

what are you thankful for this holiday season? when you are eating with your family take a look around the room. and make sure and thank Him for all He has blessed you with!

im posting this from a friends computer. they are so nice to let me borrow one every once and a while to update you guys! i am not sure when my next post will be? im sure i will have lots of things to talk about that happened over the weekend!

i hope you guys have an amazing blessed weekend. stay safe. and eat a lot!

i love you guys. happy thanksgiving.

until then,

leigh allyn
