i hope everyone had an amazing 4th of july. we did. despite the damp weather.
here are just a few pictures that sum up our day.

madison didnt want to sit still long enough for me to get a straight on shot.

this is how madison spent most of her evening- with her ears covered!

we had to start our fireworks "show" earlier than planned because of the impending weather. our neighbors had bought a lot of fireworks too so we combined our show with theirs. they have a covered front porch so we all sat on their porch while we watched the "show' and it rained. after about 30 minutes of fireworks it started to pour so we had to call it a night and run back to the house. it stormed the rest of the night. which made it easier to sleep to than the neighborhood fireworks. overall we had a great day, even if it had to rain. we had a delicious cookout and a great time just hanging out. we also had s'mores!!! i didnt get to take pictures during our "fire pit" or the "show" because i left my camera inside since it was raining.

anyway. i hope you had just as good a day as we did.
thank God for this country, our freedom, and the men and women who fight for it.
we are truly blessed.
