alllll done!!!!!!!

well well well i can happily but exhaustively say that i am done with doctors appointments this week!! well, besides tomorrow with the insulin pump lady-but she is coming to my house!

wednesdays appointment: sorry i didnt update you guys last night on the appointment but i was exhausted and didnt really have time to sit down and type. but here's how it went. we got to the office at 10:40- ten minutes before my appointment time. i signed in and the girl says "have you always had this insurance?"- suggesting that the insurance listed wasn't correct. so i said "yes ma'am, this is the insurance i've had since i've been seeing my Nurse Practitioner." so the girl says "well i dont see a referral number listed here, have a seat and if everything is okay the nurse will call you back".... well she called me back up there and said my referral ran out in APRIL!!!...what?! this appointment was made way before then! someone didn't do there job and make sure i had a referral for this appointment- before the actual day of the appointment!!!! after waiting two hours in the waiting room they finally get the referral and we get to see my N.P. nothing really happened during the appointment because the insulin pump company failed to call and let my N.P. know that they mailed me my pump and i needed to make an appointment with the "pump trainer". so we had to make the appointment for tomorrow- and the lady is going to come to my house!

thursday: todays appointment went differently than i imagined it would go. i really dont know what i was expecting- but it wasn't that. i really really liked Dr. R!!! he was very business like- yet he had a great personality. he seems very aggressive, but knows when its time to be aggressive vs. waiting. pretty much he said that he doesn't think my PFTs right now reflect that im "sick enough" to need to start the transplant process. but if they go down anymore, or i have another exacerbation soon after i finish this stint of IVs he wants to start talking serious. he said i have got to gain weight. my BMI is 16.2 and they won't even look at me for transplant if it is 17. he thinks im a great "candidate" for transplant. {remember thats not a "bad thing"} he said he wants me to try and gain weight on my own first- but if im not able to he wants to look at a feeding tube. ugh. this is bad news. not something i want at all. but if it is necessary ill do it. just pray that im able to gain it on my own. thats all that was really discussed today. he said he doesn't want to see me again any time soon {unless something changes that i listed above} i was pleased with the way things went.

tomorrow morning i will learn about my pump- so ill let you know how things go!!!

until then,

leigh allyn

Prayers:
~pulmonary rehab allows me to gain some lung function back and my pfts are raised enough that transplant is put off a while.
~i am able to gain weight on my own so i dont have to get a tube
~this stint of IVs keeps me healthy for a long time avoiding another exacerbation
~aaron will find a job soon!
