better day

helloooo everyone! what a beautiful day! i've been pretty good today. i've been sitting by my opened window all day, or sitting outside in the swing. this weather does miracles for me!

mom called dannette this morning to update her on how i was doing. she told her i still had no appetite, still was having fevers once a day, and that i had a new pain in my lung that felt like pleurisy to me. i had pleurisy once before a few years ago in the opposite lung... pleurisy, for those of you that don't know, is the inflammation of the fluid membrane that surrounds your lungs. it is very painful at times. sometimes it can feel like a pulled muscle, but you can't massage it away. and it hurts to sneeze, cough, etc. i was hurting so bad before bed mom had to give me a pain pill so i could relax and go to sleep. the pain had somewhat subsided this morning but it was still there. so when mom talked to dannette she told her everything, and dannette told us she would call us back. a few hours later she called and said dr. willers wanted to start some oral cipro {which im thinking GREAT my diarrhea is going to get worse AGAIN} but she said i needed to bump the probiotics to counteract the cipro in my colon. she also wants to start prednisone for a few days to hopefully reduce the inflammation in my lung. prednisone may also increase my appetite!!! so we'll see!? so today was a better day. i ate a really good at lunch today and i was able to keep it down! and i haven't had a fever today...knock on wood! thank God for a better day!! lets pray this continues!
