back to square one {well sorta}

im FINALLY home from the doctor!!!...i felt like i have been at vanderbilt all day!...we got there at about 12:45 for a bone density test that has been scheduled and cancelled and rescheduled for the past year. so we we finally able to do it. they wanted to do it because im on so much prednisone so often it can start to affect my bones and make them weaker. we have to pray that my bones are okay because if they aren't there is a chance they could reduce the amount of prednisone im on and i have to be on it when im on IVs and that would make things very complicated and sticky. soooo, i was done with the bone test by 1:30, and then we were in the CF clinic until 4:30!!!! it took forever! after long discussions with my dr we came to the conclusion that the C Diff came back {actually i dont think it ever went away to be honest...but thats a whole other story} so basically im back to square one...they think when i stopped the oral vancomycin and started the cirpo it pretty much put me back to square one. so. today we decided to restart the oral vanc. for 14 days and if im not better continue it. i stopped the cipro and the prednisone. i have lost alot of weight. and i really need to get back on the horse and start eating again. im scheduled to go back to the dr in a month. unless i get worse of course.

the weather is finally back to "normal" and im looking forward to a GREAT easter weekend!
