im dreaming of a...

just wanted to update everyone on the weeks happenings...and todays doctor appointment. the week was going really good. i felt great after stopping abx(antibiotics) monday. however, i woke up thursday morning not feeling so great. then, i had to get out into the FREEZING cold (high of 31) to go to an appointment. i felt pretty cruddy all day. i woke up this morning feeling about the same. having a hard time breathing and just fatigued. i had a fever by the time we made it to the doctor, and my PFTs were really low. Dr.S wanted me to go back on abx for 14 days. she just doesn't want me to get much worse, especially with the holidays coming up. im going to be on the same abx as before. since they worked so well (while i was on them) she wanted to do them again. we'll see after 14 days if i have to extend to 21. Dr.S said this is something that just confirms my decision to move forward with the transplant was the right one. she said that even though my PFTs aren't horrible im not able to be off abx much more than 7 days, and i'm on almost continuous O2. she said there are some CFers who are listed because their PFTs are really bad, but they rarely need abx. or they're on a lot more O2 and have bad PFTs... she said everyone is different, and this is my case. it makes me feel good to know i made the right decision at the right time. i didnt wait too late-when i was too sick to get listed. and not too early. i feel good with my decision. and i know God has given me the peace in that.

thats about all thats going on right now. its absolutely frigid here. i think its kind of ridiculous. if it is going to be this cold it should snow!! and i mean i want 8-10 inches of the white stuff!! where we cant leave the house and we make hot cocoa and snow cream! that would be wonderful. it will never happen. but a girl can dream, right? well, while im dreaming about snow and hot cocoa you guys have a wonderful weekend! i think i will be working on christmas presents and decor.
