well it has been quite a while since i have had news on a doctor appt or my health "status". but today is your lucky day...i have some news.
i went to the doctor yesterday. to start the morning off i woke up with terrible cramps and my special monthly visitor. although she hasn't visited since february so the dietitian said it is a great sign she came yesterday. anyway. i just woke up feeling terrible. i started the appt. off with PFTs. i did awful. they had gone down since my last appt in april. not good. my weight had stayed the same. and i told dr. S that i had been feeling kinda bad since sunday- having shortness of breath, wheezing, and increased cough and sputum. they checked my heart rate which was 150!!! and my O2Sats were 87%. not good. so dr. S said she really thinks its a good idea to have oxygen at home; for when im sleeping and exerting myself. she also wanted to start me on IV antibiotics because she thinks i have an infection in my lungs {wheezing, cough, etc.} she also said yesterdays visit just reaffirmed to her that now is the best time to start the lung transplant process. she said im not too sick. but she thinks im on an decline enough that it would be best to pursue it. i am not apprehensive to her decision. i know she wants whats best for me and trust her decision making. she is very concerned with my PFT declining, and low oxygen levels. she also thinks im not gaining weight for a number of reasons. A: my heart is beating sooo fast its like im running a marathon even when im sleeping; therefore im burning calories so fast ir doesn't matter how much i eat im not absorbing anything. B: i was having so much diarrhea that i wasn't absorbing in fluids or fats... she thinks this oxygen will slow my heart down and hopefully let me rest at night where i can start to gain weight, and also sleep better and have more energy during the day. i got pretty upset at the beginning of the appt after PFTs and weighing. i cried in the waiting room- everyone was staring at me. nice. but after talking to whitney {my amazing dietitian} and dr. S i felt much better. overall the appt went as well as it could have. i started my IV treatment last night, and we're waiting on the oxygen to get here today. so tonight will be my first night sleeping with it. ill let you know if i get a good nights sleep!
until then,

ps. aaron is still in south carolina {originally i thought it was north carolina, i was wrong}. he was supposed to come home this past weekend, but something happened with their workers and the hotel and they had to stay to take care of matters. and the car him and josh {kristina's cousin's husband} rode there in isn't reliable enough right now to come home...so long story short they aren't coming home until june 21st! can you believe that?! so keep them in your thoughts and prayers. the girls are having a hard time with their daddy away, and kristina is having a rough time too. please pray that aaron can come home soon.
Prayers:
~if its the Lord's will aaron will find a job here at home asap
~that things with my health get better soon and i can get back on my feet
