UPDATED: doctor's appointment

UPDATE:

HALLELUJAH!!!!!! Praise the Lord!!! what an amazing fabulous outstanding grrreeeat day!!!
i haven't had an appointment that went this well probably since the end of last summer. i came out of the doctor's office feeling sooo much better about life-i was smiling on the inside and out!...so here's the low down:

i had gained.....drumroll please..........3 POUNDS!!!! wooohooo. now some of you might be saying, 3 pounds? thats nothin'! well you would be wrong. thats EVERYTHING. thats 3 pounds closer to my goal. thank Jesus for those 3 pounds. i know im feeling better because of them. and Dr. W {the doctor who i haven't seen since i was diagnosed with C-Diff and the one who originally said "i think you might have C-Diff} and Whit my dietitian were both elated that i had gained 3 pounds in three weeks. they said a pound a week is ideal and the healthy way to gain it back. at this rate ill gain all the weight i want to gain by nat's wedding. just pray i continue on this course! also. my PFT's were UP! i went from 21% three weeks ago to 29% today! that is amazing! Dr. W was thrilled. we also talked about transplant some more. she asked me if it was still something i wanted to do and she wanted to know what my thoughts were on it. i told her i would be lying if i said i weren't nervous and anxious but i was looking forward to my appointment on july 16th. she told me she thought it was a great idea and that she thought i was a great candidate. {before, when i was told i was a great "candidate" i thought this meant i was sick and that it was lung transplant or nothing. well Dr W explained it in a much better way. she thinks that my compliant, positive, hard working, willing, attitude...plus my health factors make me a great candidate. she said that CFers are the highest rated success in lung transplants- over COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and more.} all of her upbeat, positive words made me feel so so much better about getting the transplant. she said the doctor i will be seeing is awesome and no nonsense- she said i will love him! she also wants me to start pulmonary rehab. the rehab will be like working out at the gym, but i will be monitored. it will teach me how to breath in different ways to help me exercise longer and i will learn how far i can push myself while exercising and in normal day living. im sure there is alot more to rehab than this and i know i will be sharing it with you often!!! {esp if im going 3 times a week!} well, this about wraps the appointment up. im really sorry it is so late. we didn't get home from the appointment until 5:30 then i went to church at 6 to work on the 20s room, and i didn't get home from church until 8:30 and we didnt have dinner until 9:15!! {that is UNHEARD of in the Tucker household. you know this if you know my mother:) } so thats why im writing this so late. anyway, thank you all so much for lifting me up these past few months. without you and your prayers i wouldn't be where i am today.

_______________________________________________________________

good morning everyone! it is beautiful outside today and im looking outside thinking 'hmm it sure is pretty, but its HOT HOT HOT' todays high is 92!! whew! i wish i could say i was going to a pool and spending the day in the cool blue water...but instead im going to the doctor. an appointment that was made last minute. originally, my appointment was next wednesday at 7:30AM. and the "appointment girl" knew i wasn't thrilled with the idea of having to wake up at 5A to do a treatment and get ready to leave by 6:30 to make it to Vandy in time to get a good parking spot, then blow into a machine {PFTs} and see the dr. so she called monday evening to say an appt got cancelled for this wednesday at 3 and would i want it? yes! i would love it. at first i wasn't thrilled at the appointment change because that would give me less time to gain as much weight as possible before the appt. but i think ive at least gained a few pounds where its obvious im trying as hard as possible to put the pounds on. also, i think i will do better at PFTs at 3 in the afternoon than i would have at 7 in the morning. so i guess we will see how things go. mom and i plan to go to lunch and {maybe} GiGi's cupcakes before the appt. im definitely looking forward to that!

im not sure how long the appt will take, and ill be going to church as soon as its over to paint the 20's something room some more before class. so ill update you on how my appt went as soon as i can get back to my computer!

until then,

leigh allyn

Prayers:
~things go well at my appt today
~aaron's hunt for a job will end soon with positive results
