i cant believe i haven't written on here in over a week! but actually, i realize it is a good thing. i have been so busy this past week that i have not had time to stop and write. & this whole time i have been feeling great! i have been consumed with mom's dayschool graduation/program that was last night. they put on "noah's ark" and i had to draw and paint 24 animals. i started a few weeks ago, but, the procrastinator i am-i didnt finish until monday afternoon. i had planned to paint all weekend. but my grandmother had a "party" on saturday, and that pretty much took up the whole day. so i was a whole day behind and had to catch up on monday. but with the help of two amazing friends {nat, and emily} i was able to finish. without them i would not have finished in time. the play was tuesday night and it was great. the kids did awesome, it was so cute. i was a "stage helper" and had to sit on the stage and direct the kids where to be. well, i had one 2 year old that decided he wanted his nana and cried the entire time. so hard, he got to where he was about to throw up. i just knew my night was going to end up with throw up down my new maxi dress. i made eye contact with mom and she was able to get him off stage. whew. besides that it went on without a hitch... anyway, also on friday the girls spent the night. we got some bad news friday when aaron called and said he had been laid-off. this was a total blindside. so friday we wanted to give aaron and kristina some time to talk and get things done without the little ones underfoot. aaron talked to kristinas uncle, who is a contractor, and will be working for him temporarily-on a trial basis, until he finds something more permanent. the only downside is most of his jobs are out of state and last for weeks at a time. currently aaron is in florida for the week. he'll come home for the weekend, and leave monday for south carolina for two weeks. this has been really hard on them. but aaron knows he has to do what needs to be done to provide for his family. i love him to death for making this hard decision. because it would be so easy to say "ill get unemployment and sit at home looking for a job". on saturday my nana had a party to celebrate the day she married pawpaw 50 years ago. it was so sweet. and we got to see family and friends that we haven't seen in years. it was great to catch up. it was a fun party; and most importantly i think nana had a great time... anyway, other "happenings" around here... i went to the eye dr last week- to get my eye pressure checked. he said my right eye was great, but my left was a little higher than he liked. he wants me back in june. he wants to stay on top of the glaucoma. i LOVE dr. g. he is the GREATEST. i have been feeling great. but still can't seem to gain weight. its really really difficult. thats my greatest challenge right now. i dont seem to eat enough in a day to gain weight. im trying. but it just seems impossible.
everything has been going fabulously. i'm so excited things seem to be getting back to normal. all my friends are in town from school and im getting to see more and more of them! life is GREAT!!!! man, it feels good to say that.
until then,
leigh allyn
Prayers:
~aaron is able to find a job here at home, soon. & kristina is able to stay strong for the girls while daddy is away.
