ramblin' (wo)man

good afternoon. it is a gloomy but wonderful day here in the music city! ill recap the past few days for you since i haven't in a while. well, after i posted wednesday when i got home from the doctor i had hoped to take a nap or two, since i only had 3 hours of sleep the night before. unfortunately, i did not get a chance to nap. i had to do a treatment, then eat lunch, then go get some prescriptions, by the time i slowed down it was 4:30 and i knew if i laid down to nap i would have slept till 9 and i wouldn't have slept a wink that night. also, all of the prednisone keeps me awake during the day. one of the side effects is "sleeplessness". i take it as early in the morning as possible not to affect my night sleep. anyway, i didn't make it to church. but i did make it in bed pretty early and slept alllll night! it was wonderful. yesterday i had my first 3 month UNOS appointment with the transplant team. i had to do the 6 minute walk, PFTs, and get my blood drawn. all of my blood work looked good, my weight was up 4 pounds! and everything else went well too. i met the nurse practitioner that i will be seeing every three months for this UNOS update. she was wonderful. she said everything looked great, and to be expecting a phone call any day, but plan for a year from now....that a watched pot never boils!....basically, be ready to go any day, but dont worry about it every day and plan for as long as a year from now. i thought it went amazingly and was pleased with the news. hive update!...well they are diminished. not a lot. but some. today has been the best day so far, but i'm not sure if that is because mom and i were out running errands all day, so i wasn't thinking about it, or if it is really better. i would probably say it is a little bit of both. today has been great. mom and i went and ran some errands out at providence, and dad met us for lunch! even though the weather is nasty, it was still fun! i have been feeling so good today. i told mom i think the high dose of prednisone is making me super woman!!!! it makes me super HUNGRY and gives me all kinds of energy!!! i just want to eat everything in sight and go go go go!! i love it!...but, i know that when i come off of it i have a good chance of crashing. hopefully not. but, i usually do. ill just get ahead now. ill try and get my weight up as much as possible and conserve my energy and maybe ill be okay. i have a CF clinic appointment next week, on wednesday. im really hoping my weight is up a lot by then! that would be fabulous!

i dont think there's anything else new from the past few days. tomorrow is dads 50th birthday!!!! we have a lot of fun things planned. ill have pictures by the end of the weekend!!

it "supposed" to snow over night tonight. this time i dont want it to. i have places to be this weekend. they're saying its going to be mixed in with the rain, and we won't get more than 2 inches. i pray not.

~Cody Partlow, a teen that used to go to OHCofC, and is attending University of Alabama, was t-boned by a truck (i was told a semi, but have heard other reports that is was a regular, so i am not 100% positive on the details) last night and is in the ICU in a Huntsville hospital. Like i said, i dont have the details but i think he is doing okay and may be moved to a regular room saturday? Keep him and his family in your prayers please.
